This was recorded as both a capped shaft and as a crown hole by Willies et al (2011). They observed that the shaft / crown hole had been infilled with some packing to "plug the gap."
The shaft / crown hole is not shown on the 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps of the nineteenth century.
It is now lost under the house at 2 Parkside, The Avenue.
