This circular shaft is approximately 2.5 m in diameter. It was identified by Willies et al (2011) as a possible well, by the Oxford Archaeology archaelogists although they suggested its size meant it was proabably an extraction shaft.

It is not shown on the 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps of 1873-1888 (South West England).

The shaft is lost under the back garden of 35 Westerleigh Gardens.
