Marked (with an incorrect location) on the Sidcot School Sandford Hill Speleological Survey of 1959 as SSSS-32-C this 7m deep shaft was explored by MNRC in 1956 & SSSS in 1959 and is now completely filled. The shaft is located inside a clearing containing a vast cone of spoil, indicating that the shaft must once have been of far greater depth. There is an attractive stone-lined pit a few metres to the north-west.
