A horizontal mined passage some 313m long which intersects two large cross-roads. These offer short but interesting detours and some difficult climbing in mined upward extensions. The higher reaches come close to mineshafts on the hill above. The mine was used by an Auxiliary Unit of the local Home Guard during the Second World War. The impressive Great Rift at the Second Crossroads has been cited as yet another contender for the legendary lost Gulf.
Alternate Names: The Levvy, Sandford Hill Lead Adit, SMCC-5, ACG-02
