Marked on the Sidcot School Sandford Hill Speleological Survey of 1959 as SSSS-43-M and once 13m deep, this shaft is now just 7m deep (2014). It is believed to be blocked by a large boulder that was once jammed across the middle of the shaft a short distance below the entrance.
