W/L Cave largely consists of a single decorated passage leading to a steeply-inclined chamber. There is a short extension in the roof and a passage at floor level which connects with Shatter Cave beyond a beautifully decorated pool. The cave was revealed by quarrying and dug open by Bob Whitaker and Jerry Lavis (W/L) of CSS in 1967. The connection with Shatter Cave was made in 1973. The main passage is thought to be a continuation of Pool Passage in Balch Cave.
Alternate Names: Fairy Cave 11, New Balch Cave, Balch W/L Extension
