A steeply inclined descent of 15m leads to the roomy Main Chamber, beyond which Curtain Rift can be entered. This contains some of the most impressive curtains on Mendip and at the far end there is an impassable aural connection with nearby Fairy Cave. Scalloping on the walls suggests ancient water flow from south to north. Another faint aural connection was achieved with Duck's Pot, a partially destroyed cave which terminated in a choke somewhere beneath the floor of Main Chamber.

Alternate Names: Fairy Cave 4

Notes: Originally breached by quarrying and dug open by Jack Waddon, June 1960. Subsequently blocked with quarry waste, reopened with help of a mechanical excavator 2008-2009 by the ATLAS.
