The new (2006) 2.5m diameter vertical shaft with a 2m high surface 'chimney' with external cladding of local stone at the north west extreme of the underground Grey Gables quarry created a ventilation through flow from Grey Gables mine to the Mount Pleasant quarry. It was dug in 2006
