located at the base of the cliff, close to the northern portal of Portnalls Railway Tunnel which passes below the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Beyond the partially walled-up entrance, a stooping-sized tunnel leads to a small, desecrated grotto. A climb up a stal flow leads upwards towards Upper Cave where a smoke connection has been proven to exist.
