Nothing is known of this quarry and the location is probably lost. The grid reference is only approximate. The quarry was located to the east of Masons Lane as one climbs up from the town centre, near to the top of the lane. There are reports of a large quarried chamber under the old pub, The Castle, at the top of Masons Lane and these may be linked.
