The large vertical shaft into the Brewer's Yard Quarry was capped at an unknown date. In September 2017, two large limestone blocks were places over the cap. It is understood these were placed by Lovells who are working the nearby underground quarry of Hartham Park. They have plans to extend past Copenacre and into the Brewers Yard Quarry.
