Extraction of Bath stone began at the site shortly after 1811 with Hartham Park formed from a combination of three originally separate quarries. This "Slope Shaft" is shown on 1924 OS Map. The quarry was opened as a museum in 1986 but was closed by the end of the 1990s. The quarry was used to bring stone to the surface in 2008. The workings connect underground to the both the disused Travellers' Rest Quarry and the RNSD Copenacre workings. The latter was mostly cleared in 2017 and a housing estate now occupies a large area of the surface.

Alternative Names: None recorded.

Notes: Hartham Park Limestone is another type of the Bath Oolitic limestones. The pale buff colour stone, with occasional blue flecks quarried from Hartham Park has been used very successfully for masonry work.
