dug by the ACG in 2014 and 2015 following a rift down for 3m and a bedrock shelf was encountered which slopes steeply. At 3.5m depth the rift was almost completely blocked by this shelf leaving only 0.2m wide of mud filled slot remaining. Now backfilled.

Notes: This was our first attempt to find the pit mentioned by Catcott in his diaries where a miner had found the skull of a crocodile (?)
