The cave was extensively mined for ochre in the 1750's and "lost". It was re-opend by Nick Richards and Nick Harding in 2007. More digging connected it with Well Shaft, Maytree and Primrose Caves in 2012. More digging in 2015 doubled the length of the cave adding Upper & Lower Glebe Passages, The Paddock and Log Pile.
