Listed as a "non coal mining cavity" in information provided from Peter Brett Associates (PBA) for the extraction of Fullers' Earth. In the 'List of Miscellaneous Mines' for Somerset in 1896 the Fullers' earth mines at Combe Hay and possibly including Wansdyke Mine, were owned by The Fuller's Earth Union Ltd., Billiters Square Buildings, London, E.C. They employed four workers underground and 10 on the surface.
