Hollybush is a very small underground quarry originally with one slope shaft and one air/trial shaft. The slope shaft descends to a 'T' junction with passages running straight ahead and right, both leading to dead ends. There are almost no end workings.

Poor rock lead to its quick closure on December 11th 1902. The air shaft was probably initially dug as a trial shaft.

Alternate Names: Hollybush Quarry

Notes: Interesting graffiti referring to the end of the Transvaal (Boer) War in June 1902 and the closing of the workings in 1902.

An attempt was made in September 2017 by persons unknown to fill in the slope slope access into the underground quarry. The quarry is a bat roost and negotiations are taking place.
