Of great palaeontological importance, the site has yielded numerous remains of the unusual gliding reptile Kuehneosaurus latus and is the only known locality of the trilophosaur/procolophonid Variodens inopinatus.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: ref Robinson (1957). An earlier suggestion that the fissures may be part of Emborough Swallet are mistaken. Due to the rarity and importance of the deposit digging should be avoided.
