A slope shaft was uncovered when Long's Yard off Trowbridge Road was redeveloped for housing. It connected into the workings of Bridge Street Mine 1

Alternative Names: Bradford on Avon 7, French Grass Quarry Mine

Notes: The slope shaft would have been and used to haul blocks of Bath stone to the surface. In the nineteenth century, the Long family were famous for quarrying, stone mason work and building connections in Bradford on Avon.
