During the refurbishment of the Crown Inn an Ochre Mine was discovered in the back yard which had to be filled in.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Descended by John Chapman September 2012 - The shaft is about 15 feet deep by 6 feet in diameter. It is not lined with stone but the side are pretty stable. At the bottom is water about 2 feet deep.On one side near the water is a hollow that looked as if it might be a passage but it is just a hollow.
