Penny Well

Coombe Dingle, Bristol.

A tiny spring, which rises inside a brick chamber covered with a stone slab. It was once highly regarded for its petrifying qualities by the local inhabitants, who used it as a wishing well. There is another inconspicuous seepage a few metres further north.
