Quarry NNW of Aisholt, Quantock Hills.
|NGR:||ST 19199 36109|
Entrance situated at the base of an old quarry face. It is an obvious tube emitting a powerful draught particularly on hot summer days. A 3m long wriggle enters a breccia filled chamber with a fractured roof by way of a 2m drop created by excavation of the floor of the chamber. There is a small side passage to the left as one enters and choked extensions to the right. At the far end of the chamber an excavated crawl leads to a shallow dug shaft in boulders and shale.
Alternate Names: None recorded.
Notes: The landowner has refused permission to dig at present and placed a gate on the cave.
