A low 3 metre wide entrance arch leads to a 3m wide passage ending in an earth choke. There is some passage development in the roof at the end and some calcite present. A rift passage near the end is being actively dug. The cave is in a wood and there is evidence of quarrying at this site.

Alternative Names: Lost Cave of Cothelstone

Notes: The cave, thought to be lost, was rumoured to the home of a hermit in the past. It was relocated in the 1990's by Trevor Knief out walking his dog. The entrance had probably been concealed by a cliff collapse that had then slumped into the cave unearthing it. Limited excavations found a clay pipe so the stories might be true.
