A vertical fissure starting wide but narrowing to a tight tube. First entered by J S Miller in 1820. Many animal remains were found.
Pembroke Road Quarry seems a likely spot for the fissure from which J. S. Miller extracted a stalagmite cemented horse limb c.1820. It was found 'near Clifton, by the turnpike gate'.
