The eastern entrance accesses a narrow rift that leads eastwards to a large bouldery passage. This passage splits, with the western route leading down to a region of boulders and a narrowing of the rift.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Since publication in the UBSS Proceedings of Landslip Caves of the Southern Cotswolds (Self and Boycott, 2000), Murhill Rift has been greatly extended. The new passages are a complex of rifts on several levels, all located close to the cliff edge and now with a total of seven natural entrances. 287 m of gull rift were surveyed, with an estimated further 30 m unsurveyed (Reaich and Beckett, 2001). This includes several natural entrances, (Reaich and Beckett, 2001) gulls. This includes several gull passages in Murhill Mine, from where a voice connection was established with Murhill Rift.
