Bert Hagan Collection revisited 2026
The 35mm slides of Albert Harry Hagan. Bert lived in the East End of London during WW2. He suffered from severe asthma caused by the dust from the bombing and on doctors instructions was ordered to leave London. He moved to an aunts house in Somerset and worked at Tinknell's in Wells. They lived in New Street, Wells till 1976 in a house owned by Tinknell's. Bert passed away May 24th 1993 aged 86.
This album contains some of the material given to MCRA back in 2008. It has been revisited to obtain the highest quality scans from the original 35mm slides.
Bert worked in a photographers in London and due to the quality and condition of the slides it appears he developed them himself.

Wookey 9 Album compiled by FG Balcombe
This album was found at Wookey Hole while CDG members were clearing out a room to house their compressor. The water damaged photo album was presented by Graham Balcombe to Wing Commander Hodgkinson
