Singleway Mine, is a small underground quarry. Its lack of development is probably as a result of the poor quality stone. It was worked in the 19th century but following abandonment, the entrance had collapsed. This was re-opened by persons unknown in 2009.

A short vertical drop requiring a scramble down a boulder slope leads into a 3m high and 2m wide passage with passages branching off right and left to complexes of workings. There are some exceelnent examples of floor ruts from cart wheels, mud drip pockets and decaying roof supports. In several places the roof appears very unsafe. The main passage continues straight ahead and terminates in a similar complex. One end working has graffiti suggesting a date of 1889

Alternate Names: Singleway Quarry, Single Way Quarry, Single-way Mine, Singleway Mine
